Fish at Plymouth Fisheries

Photography and Filming

Sutton Harbour provides a wonderful harbourside backdrop and we are delighted to be able to consider areas to be used for filming and photography projects.

Plymouth Fisheries at Sutton Harbour provides a fantastic setting with view of the marina, the opposite quaysides and the historic Plymouth Barbican with views out to Plymouth Sound.

Plymouth Fisheries provides a vibrant fish market and working environment that makes an interesting setting to film and to photograph. Sutton Harbour itself is a stunning waterfront location, and for the right partner or project, can offer a fabulous backdrop for your brand.

Ever wanted to know where your seafood comes from and how it gets to your plate?  We welcome you to book a behind-the-scenes tour of Plymouth Fisheries at Sutton Harbour where you'll have these questions answered and many, many more.

Plymouth Fisheries is the second largest market by volume in England with a vast number of different types of fish landed.  In any one day up to 2,000 boxes (around 60 tonnes) of the freshest seafood are auctioned through the electronic auction system to approximately 60 buyers.  Every day is different!

Guided tours are conducted by Pete Bromley, ex fisherman and now our Harbour Master and Fisheries Manager. They are arranged upon request and always welcomed.

We also offer press and media opportunity to join one of our F.I.S.H tours with Graze and Flavour. On these experience days you can get the opportunity to BE the fisherman, learn how to kill and cook your catch and then to enjoy it with a glass of wine at the Boathouse Café at Sutton Harbour, adjacent to Plymouth Barbican. For more information on these see our Experience Sutton Harbour website.

To arrange a visit to Plymouth Fisheries at Sutton Harbour, or to find out more about us, please contact Pete Bromley.
